In this blog post, we will walk you through the basics of setting up your social media platforms and give you some tips for making sure they are effective.

First, let’s start with the basics. When you are setting up your social media platforms, there are a few key things you need to do:

Not all social media platforms are created equal. You need to choose the platform that is right for you and your business.

The social platforms I have listed below are in no order and remember you can always set up more platforms, later on, you want to avoid becoming overwhelmed and getting nowhere.

Create interesting and engaging Social Media content.

Your social media platforms will only be as successful as the content you put on them. Make sure you are creating content that is interesting and engaging. This can be anything from blog posts to infographics to videos and photos.

 

Interact with your audience across all Social Media.

Social media is not a one-way street. You need to interact with your audience if you want to build relationships and grow your platform. Make sure you are responding to comments and questions and engaging in conversations, after all it is called “SOCIAL” media.

Promote your Social Media platforms.

Just because you have created social media platforms doesn’t mean people will automatically find them. You need to promote your platforms and make sure people know they exist. You can do this through marketing campaigns, social media ads, and word of mouth or sharing what you do in groups (keeping in mind the group’s rules as many don’t allow to self-promote, so be sure to check that out prior to sharing in group pages).

Now that you know the basics of setting up your social media platforms, let’s look at some tips for making sure they are effective.

Set goals

Before you start creating content or promoting your platforms, you need to set goals. What do you want to achieve with your social media platforms? Do you want to increase brand awareness, drive traffic to your website, or generate leads? Once you have set your goals.

Create a content calendar for Social Media

One of the best ways to make sure your social media platforms are effective is to create a content calendar. This will help you plan and schedule your content in advance so you can make sure it is aligned with your goals. It will also help you avoid last-minute scrambling to come up with content ideas.

Tip: Meta in Facebook has a content planner you can schedule your content in advance to save time but having a notebook or a calendar at home will help map out what you what to share.

There are a lot of tasks that come with running social media platforms, from publishing content to interacting with your audience. If you try to do everything yourself, you will quickly become overwhelmed. That’s why it’s important to automate and outsource as much as possible. There are several tools that can help you with this, from social media management platforms to content curation tools.

Analyze and optimize

Finally, you need to analyze and optimize your social media platforms on a regular basis. This means seeing what is working and what isn’t. Then, you can make changes to your content, posting frequency, and promotion strategy to improve your results.

 

Now, let’s dive into getting you set up with the social media platforms that best suit you and your business needs.

Setting up a business Facebook Page

The first step to setting up your social media platforms is creating a Facebook Page for your business. A Facebook Page is different than a personal profile page and allows you to promote your business, products, or services to people who are not already friends or followers.

First, make sure you are logged into your personal Facebook account, then select Pages and then Create. Depending on your device, this will be in different locations on your screen.

You will be prompted to fill out some basic information about your business, such as the name, address, and category of business you can list up to 3 different categories that apply, for example, if you are a travel blogger you could list your page as – Blogger & Local & Travel website, etc. Follow the prompts to set up your account, it is very straightforward.

You will also be able to upload a profile picture and cover photo for your Page.

IMPORTANT:

Do not create a new Facebook login. Only create a page from your current Facebook account. Your Facebook friends will not see that you created this page unless you choose to share it with them. (Hopefully, you will)

With your personal Facebook profile, you will be the “admin” of your new Page and will have full control over what is posted and who can see it. You can add additional admins at any time by going to your Page settings and selecting the “Page Roles” option, this can be a good idea to add someone you trust, in case you ever get hacked or logged out, the other person can help you get access back.

Helpful Tip:

Download the app Business Suite (Meta) on your phone or Ipad, this can help you keep up to date with messages to your business page and see insights, your content planner, Ads, events, and appointments, even you can create posts inside the business suite too. I use it on a daily basis, I find it to be a very helpful App.

Now that your Facebook Page is created, you can start posting content! We recommend posting a mix of content, including text updates, photos, videos, and links. You should also take advantage of Facebook’s built-in features, and take some time to explore what Facebook offers business pages in order to get more eyes on your content.

Setting up an Instagram business account

Instagram is a mobile app as well as desktop that allows users to share photos and videos. It is different from other social media platforms in that it is very visual and focuses on user-generated content.

To create an Instagram account for your business, download the app from the App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play Store (for Android devices). Once the app is installed, open it and tap “Sign up with Email” or “Log in with Facebook”.

If you choose to sign up with Email, you will need to enter your full name, and email address, and create a username and password. If you choose to log in with Facebook, you will be prompted to enter your Facebook login information.

Once you have logged in or created your account, you will be taken to the Instagram home screen. Here, you can start sharing photos and videos by tapping the “+” icon.

To edit your profile, tap the “Edit Profile” button. From here, you can add or change your profile picture, name, username, website, and bio. Be sure to fill out all these fields so that people can easily find and learn more about your business.

You can also link your Instagram account to other social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, or your website. To do this, go to your profile and click edit profile and you will find all the info to update here, your Bio, your name, username, category, contact options, and links.

Make sure you fill in your bio, have a profile picture, and have a link to direct people to where you want them to go after consuming your content, what is your goal? Send them there.

Tip:

In your Name section, don’t just write your name, sounds weird, but your name section can be very helpful when people are looking for something, such as keywords, for example, if you are in the travel niche, you could have your name so people know who they are talking with and seeing, then add anything about travel, can simply be the word “Travel” or the type of travel you’re into.

My Instagram name for example is – Tia – Mentor – Online Marketer – Travel.  This way if anyone searches any of the keywords (Travel, Mentor, or Online marketer) I can come up in their search. It can help get more eyeballs on your page for free.

For your bio, write something catchy that represents you, or write a little call to action on what you do, such as “I help people get XYZ” or follow for travel inspo and tips”. The downfall to Instagram’s bio section is the limit of characters you can write in there, must be short and punchy.

You must have a profile picture for your socials, people like to know who they are talking to, and you can have your biz logo, but I recommend having your picture so people can feel connected to who is posting and who they are engaging with.

Setting up a Pinterest account for business

Pinterest is a great social media platform that allows users to share and discover new interests by pinning images, it’s a great way to get traffic to your website or socials. Pinterest is a very popular choice for bloggers to use as it tends to drive most of the traffic to your site.  It is a great platform for businesses that are visual in nature, such as businesses in the fashion, food, travel, and home décor industries.

Be sure to create a business account for your Pinterest this will give you access to extra information and stats for your business, set up your Pinterest account now.

Follow the prompts to set up an account, it’s a very simple process. Once you have created your account, you will be taken to the Pinterest home screen. Here, you can start creating pins by clicking the “create”. You can also access your profile by clicking on your profile image.

In your profile name, like the tip for Instagram, rather than just your business name, use keywords that relate to your business. This is mine – Suitcases and serenity / Blogger / Affiliate marketer / Digital, so if anyone searches for any of their names, I can be in their results.

Creating a Twitter profile

To create a Twitter profile, go to Twitter and enter your full name, email address, and desired password. You will also be asked to select a username, or “handle,” for your account. We recommend choosing a handle that is easy to remember and closely aligned with your business name. Don’t get disheartened if the name is already taken, I wanted mine to be my business name “Suitcases and Serenity” but it was taken, so you can try another one or it will give you some other selections you can pick from, so I needed up with @SuitcasesLove for my Twitter handle.

Once you have created your account, you will be taken to your Twitter homepage. Here, you will be able to edit your profile and upload a profile photo and cover photo. We recommend using a high-quality image for your profile photo, as this is what will be shown next to all your tweets.

Your Twitter profile also includes a “Bio” section, where you can enter a brief description of your business. Be sure to include keywords that you think people might search for when looking for a business like yours. For example, if you are a florist in Los Angeles, you might include keywords like “flowers,” “weddings,” and “LA.” For a travel blogger things like “blogger”, “travel”, and “travel blogger”, you get what I mean. Also, use a couple of hashtags in here too, and put a link to your website or socials for people to go to.

Once your profile is complete, you can start tweeting this can be in simple written form or images/videos too! 

Creating a LinkedIn Company Page

LinkedIn is a social networking site designed specifically for professionals and businesses, it’s a great place for career development and many people put their CV’s on LinkedIn to find job opportunities and employers also looking to hire.

To create a LinkedIn Company Page, go to LinkedIn and enter your company name, email address, and password. Once you have created your account, you will be taken to your LinkedIn homepage.

From here, you can begin filling out your Company Page. Be sure to include a high-quality profile photo and cover photo, as well as a brief description of your business. You can also add your company website and contact information. 

Setting up a TikTok business account

We have all heard of TikTok I am sure, it may also have a label that it’s for “Young people” and posting silly things, but surprisingly TikTok is great for inspiration, tips, motivation, and more.

TikTok is a social media platform where users can share short videos. It’s great bitesize content.  

To set up a TikTok account for your business, go to TikTok and create an account. Once you have created your account begin filling out your profile. Have a profile photo, as well as a brief description of what you do.

There are many fun things you can do with the TikTok platform, so have some fun exploring, you can post videos from 15 seconds, 60 seconds, and 3 minutes, and you can add effects, music, and more, Save the profiles you enjoy watching. TikTok can be a great source of gaining customers and prospects for your business.

How to start using the Timekettle Fluentalk T1 Translator

 

Getting started with the Timekettle Fluentalk T1 Handheld Translator is super easy. The thing I love about the T1 is that you don’t have to download an app on your phone, compared to the M3 earbuds that have to be used in conjunction with an app. The main components of the T1 device are a small display with touch, a microphone, and three buttons on the side.

To begin, just turn on your translator by pressing the power button (yellow) located on the right side of the device. You will then be prompted to select your language and connect via Bluetooth or wifi. Once that is done, you can start translating!

The Cellular 2-year plan is pre-loaded on the device when I got the device I was looking for the sim card to put into the T1 but heads up there isn’t one, it’s already on the device without a sim card. The translation will appear on the display in real-time. For image translations, simply take a photo of the document or menu and the T1 will translate it for you.

Is also on the Timekettle Fluentalk T1 Translator which will help you find the emergency numbers of each country you are visiting in case something happens. It gives you the country calling code and the emergency number like 911, 112, and so on when you are in SOS needs.

Choosing a domain name is one of the most important steps in starting a blog. Your domain name is how people will find your site, so you want to choose something that is easy to remember and reflects your brand.

Once you’ve chosen your domain name, be sure to register it! You can usually do this through the hosting provider you choose to make your website with.

Tip: When picking a domain name it is said not to use numbers as you will forever be explaining to people how your website name is spelled, for example, use – foryou, not 4you, and the same goes for being short on words like – you Vs u. If you are going to be explaining all the time how your site is spelled, it can be very annoying. Keep it simple but unique for you.

Choose your Theme for your blog

Now it’s time to start your blog! Once you’ve registered your domain name, you’ll need to choose a blogging platform and a theme. A blogging platform is a software that you’ll use to create and manage your blog.

WordPress is a popular choice for many bloggers, but there are other options available as well. Once you’ve chosen your platform, it’s time to select a theme. This will determine the look and feel of your blog, so take some time to browse through different options and find one that you like, there are free themes within WordPress, I use Bluehost for my blog which uses WordPress and I have a paid theme from DIVI, for someone like me who is not very tech-savvy, DIVI has made the process of my webpage so user friendly and to understand. You can read my blog post about getting started with Bluehost.

 

Start brainstorming content ideas

When you’re ready to start creating content for your blog, it can be helpful to brainstorm ideas ahead of time. This will give you a road map to follow as you write, and it will help to keep you on track. If you’re struggling to come up with ideas, there are a few ways you can get started:

Check out other blogs in your niche. What are they talking about? Is there anything you can add to the conversation/ topic – make it your own, never copy!

  • Look at popular magazines and websites. What are people interested in right now?
  • Think about the questions people are asking. This can be a great way to come up with blog post ideas that are relevant and helpful, Tip: you can look at Reddit or Quora for ideas.
  • Keep a running list of ideas. As you think of things throughout the day, jot them down so you don’t forget. This will help to keep your creative juices flowing when it’s time to sit down and write.

I recommend having at least 10 blog posts on your website before you decide to launch.

 

Start your Brand, your Logo, color palette, font, etc.

Creating a brand for your blog is a great way to make it stand out from the millions of other blogs out there. Your brand should be reflective of you and your values, and it should be consistent across all platforms. A few things to consider when creating your brand. 

  • Your logo

This is often the first thing people will see when they come to your blog, so you want it to be eye-catching and memorable. If you’re not a designer, there are plenty of logo makers out there that can help you create a great logo for your brand such as Fivver.

If you want to give it a go yourself before having to pay try Canva it is one of my favorite tools for creating graphics. They have a ton of templates for different sizes and purposes, so you can easily create graphics for your blog posts, social media, ads, etc, they have plenty of choices in their free version, or if you’re looking for more options you can pay for the Pro version, I have the Pro version as I use Canva for my blog and all my social media content, so it has been worth every penny.

  • Your color palette

Choose a few colors that you want to be associated with your brand and use them consistently, you can search the internet for color combinations that go well together, otherwise, go with what feels right for you, generally pick 3 colors that will represent your brand.

  • Your font

Just like with your colors, you want to choose a font (or family of fonts) that you’ll use on all of your branding materials. This will help to create a cohesive look for your brand. I generally have no more than 2-3 different fonts I use across my blog.

Creating an “About me” page

An “About me” page is one of the most important things you can do for your blog. This is your chance to tell your readers who you are and why they should care about what you have to say. When creating your “About Me” page, there are a few things you’ll want to include:

  • Your name: Make sure to include your name so people know who they’re reading. You can also include your blog’s name if it’s different from your personal name.
  • Your photo: Adding a photo is a great way to make your “About Me” page more personal. People like to see who they’re reading from, and it helps them to connect with you on a more personal level.
  • Your story: Why did you start blogging? What are your goals for your blog? Share your story with your readers and let them know what they can expect from reading your blog.
  • Your values: What do you believe in? What kind of tone do you want to set with your blog? Let your readers know what they can expect from you and your content.
  • Your contact information: Make sure to include a way for people to get in touch with you, whether it’s an email address, social media handle, or contact form. This is important for building relationships with your readers.

One of the most important parts of starting a blog is creating great content. Without killer content, you’re not going to have people coming back to read your blog. So how do you create great content? Here are a few tips:

 

  • Be yourself: Write as you talk. Be natural and authentic in your writing, and people will connect with you.

  • Be helpful: Write posts that are helpful and informative. Teach your readers something new or help them to solve a problem.

After you have built up a good amount of content and have a decent-sized audience, you can start to apply for affiliate programs to monetize your blog. Affiliate programs are basically when you promote someone else’s product or service on your blog and if someone buys the product or service through your link, you earn a commission.

There are tons of different affiliate programs out there, so you’ll want to do some research to find the ones that are a good fit for your blog. Once you find a few programs you’re interested in, reach out to the companies and inquire about joining their affiliate program.

Applying to affiliate programs can be a bit of a process, but it’s well worth it if you’re able to get approved for some good programs. Not only can it help you to make money from your blog, but it can also help to promote products and services that you’re passionate about.

Many businesses have a link on their site to join affiliate programs, so keep an eye out, generally in the footer of the website.

Social media is a great way to promote your blog and connect with your audience. By having active social media accounts, you can share your new blog posts with your followers, which can help to drive traffic to your site. Twitter:

Twitter is a great platform for sharing your blog posts and connecting with other people in your niche. Make sure to use hashtags and tag other people in your tweets to get more eyes on your content.

You can create a Facebook page for your blog and share your content there if you don’t want to use your personal page. I have a business Facebook page linked to my personal page which is super easy to set up and you can track your analytics too.

Pinterest:

Pinterest is a great platform for driving traffic to your blog. Make sure you create pins that are visually appealing and share them on Pinterest. Pinterest is most likely voted #1 for sharing blog posts, creating pin graphics in Canva will help them stand out and draw attention to your site. Pinterest is also a great platform to find inspiration for everything.

Instagram:

Instagram is a great platform for promoting your blog and connecting with your audience. Make sure to post eye-catching photos and use the appropriate hashtags. Instagram is more of a visual platform as the image comes first, compared to Facebook, people tend to read the caption more before the image.

TikTok:

TikTok allows users to share short videos of themselves. It’s a great platform. Make sure to post interesting videos and use hashtags to get more eyes on your content.

YouTube:

YouTube is a great platform for sharing your content in longer video form. You can also use YouTube to build relationships with other bloggers and influencers in your niche, even companies, Canva is a great place to do an intro and outro to your video too.

I spent one night at the Excalibur Hotel followed by 4 nights at the MGM Grand hotel. After my trip to Vegas, I flew to San Francisco for 3 days and enjoyed the sights.

Where to stay in Las Vegas 

There are many different hotels to choose from in Las Vegas, and the best one for you will depend on your budget and preferences. If you are looking for a luxurious hotel with all the bells and whistles, the Bellagio or Wynn Las Vegas are great options. However, if you are working with a tight budget, there are plenty of affordable hotels, such as Flamingo or Circus Circus and so many more.

No matter what your budget is, you will be able to find a hotel that meets your needs in Las Vegas. Just be sure to do your research ahead of time so you know what to expect.

 I stayed at the Excalibur hotel, I got it extremely cheap around $60 per night, an absolute bargain, and a prime location on the strip, I then spent 4 nights at the MGM Grand, again on the strip, MGM was more expensive but worth every penny luxury but somewhat affordable. Staying downtown has many affordable options too.

Some Hotels that you may want to look at for your stay in Vegas may have more budget-friendly options, keep in mind these are all on the strip, there are so many other options and cheaper if you look downtown.

The best time to visit Las Vegas, Nevada

The best time to visit Las Vegas is in the spring or fall (March-May and September- November). The weather is mild during these times of the year and there are fewer crowds than there are in the summer., if you are looking to take advantage of the city’s nightlife and casinos, visiting during the weekends is an option. Keep in mind that hotel prices will be higher on weekends and during holidays, so if your want to visit and not pay hefty prices, going during the week and in shoulder season is recommended

Getting to Las Vegas

If you are flying into Las Vegas, Harry Reid International Airport is the main airport that services the area. It is located less than 3 miles from the strip, if you are driving, there are a few different routes that you can take depending on where you are coming from. Once you are in the city, getting around is very easy. 

Getting around while in Las Vegas

There are a few different ways to get around Las Vegas. You can walk, take a bus, or rent a car. If you are staying on the Strip, most of the casinos and attractions are within walking distance. But, if you want to explore more of the city surrounds, renting a car is a good option.

There is plenty of parking available. So you will not have any trouble finding a place to park. Just be sure to read the signs carefully, as some parking spots are only for hotel guests or casino members.

Public transportation: there is a good bus system that can take you around the city. The RTC (The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada) operates buses in the Las Vegas area and offers affordably priced tickets.

MonoRail: The best way to get around Las Vegas is by using the city’s monorail system. The monorail runs along the Strip and makes stops at many of the major hotels and casinos. I chose to use the Monorail during my visit to Vegas and never had any problems.

Taxis: There are many different taxi companies available within Vegas, and using Uber or Lyft is another great option to get around. Download the app to make booking easier.

Limousines: If you want to travel in style, there are plenty of limousine companies that can take you where you need to go. Be sure to book or ask the concierge in your hotel to reserve one for you in advance.

How much does it cost to visit VEGAS?

The cost of a trip to Las Vegas will depend on a variety of factors, such as the time of year you visit, the length of your stay, and how many people you are traveling with. Hotel prices tend to be higher on weekends and during holidays, so if you want to save money on accommodations, visiting during the week is a good idea. You can also find some great deals on hotels if you book in advance.

As for other expenses, such as food and entertainment, the cost will really depend on your personal preferences. Las Vegas has something for everyone, so you can find activities and dining options that fit your budget. Just be sure to do your research ahead of time so you know what to expect.

There are many misconceptions that Vegas is Expensive, don’t get me wrong it can be, depending on what you are going to do there if you’re going to drink a lot, gamble and party, it can be expensive, but it can easily be done on a low budget for around $100 a day or less, there are many free things to see in Vegas that can fill your days and if going midweek you can snag some cheap accommodation deals.

Traveling Vegas as a family

I was surprised at how many families were in Vegas with kids. I thought it would be mostly adults since it is known for gambling and shows. However, there are plenty of family-friendly activities to do in Vegas. If you are traveling with children, you will find that there are plenty of things to keep them entertained. There are several different theme parks, museums, and other attractions that are geared toward families. You can also find many hotels that offer childcare services and kid-friendly amenities.

If you are looking for things to do that are family-friendly, there are plenty of options. The Adventure dome at Circus Circus is an indoor amusement park with rides, games, and a rock-climbing wall. The Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay is another great option, where you can see over 100 species of fish and reptiles. For something a bit more unique, you can also visit the Neon Museum, which is home to over 200 vintage signs from Las Vegas history.

If you are looking for adrenaline-pumping activities, there are plenty of those as well. You can go skydiving at Fremont Street Experience, bungee jumping off the Stratosphere Tower, or zip-lining at speed through the desert. There are also plenty of shows and attractions that will get your heart racing, such as the roller coasters at the New York-New York Hotel & Casino and the Volcano show at The Mirage.

The Las Vegas Strip is over four miles long, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes when you explore it! You’ll definitely want to spend some time walking down the Strip to take in all of the sights and sounds. There are plenty of things to see and do, so you could easily spend a whole day (or more) exploring.

Shop the Miracle Mile and see the unique indoor rainstorm   

The Miracle Mile at Planet Hollywood is home to over 200 stores, making it one of the largest shopping malls in Las Vegas. You’ll find everything from high-end designer stores to affordable souvenir shops.

In addition to the great shopping, the Miracle Mile also features an indoor rainstorm that runs every half hour. The rainstorm is a great photo opportunity and a fun way to cool off on a hot day, it’s an experience you won’t forget, featuring thunder, lightning, fog, and pouring rain. I for one thought it was pretty cool. 

When you’re finished shopping, head over to the food court to refuel. After you’ve had your fill, walk off some of those calories by taking a stroll down the Strip. The Miracle Mile is just a short walk from some of the city’s best hotels and attractions. 

 

See The Cirque du Soleil shows

Cirque du Soleil is known for its incredible and acrobatic shows. There are several different Cirque du Soleil shows in Las Vegas, so make sure to catch one (or more!) during your visit. Popular shows include “O”, “KA”, and “Mystere”.

You can purchase tickets for shows in advance online or at the box office. If you’re looking to save some money, there are sometimes discounts and deals available online. Keep an eye out for special offers! Cirque du Soleil can definitely be a highlight of your trip!

Ride The LINQ, the tallest Ferris wheel in the world

Take a ride on the LINQ, the tallest Ferris wheel in the world. The views from the top are incredible, and you can see all of the major landmarks in Las Vegas from up there. The ride takes about 30 minutes, and it’s definitely worth it!

Visit the Hoover Dam and raft on the Colorado River  

The Hoover Dam is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Las Vegas. The dam is located about 30 minutes outside of the city, and it’s a great place to take photos and learn about the history of Las Vegas. History buffs will love touring the dam and learning about how it was built.

Admission to the dam is free, so it’s a great activity if you’re on a budget, however, if you are wanting to do a tour and learn more about the history of the dam, that will cost you.

 During your visit to the Dam, If you want to get adventurous go rafting on the Colorado River, There are several companies that offer rafting trips, and they range from mild to wild. A great activity for families, groups of friends, or couples if you like to live on the wild side.

Take a Gondola Ride at The Venetian

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and it features a replica of Venice’s canals. You can take a gondola ride through the grand canals, and it’s definitely an experience you won’t forget, but it may set you back slightly if you’re on a tight budget with tickets starting at $34.00 per person!

Decides from the Gondola ride, there are so many great things to do at The Venetian, You can go shopping, eat at one of the many great restaurants, see a show, or gamble at the casino and visit Madame Tussauds.

See the Volcano eruption at the Mirage

The Mirage is home to a volcano that erupts every hour. The eruption is pretty impressive, and it’s definitely worth seeing if you’re in the area. The volcano is right in front of the Mirage hotel and you can see this on your stroll along Las Vegas Blvd.

The volcano erupts every hour starting at 7 pm, last show is at 11 pm.

Other than the volcano, go inside and check out the aquarium behind the front desk that holds over 450 fish and admire the stunning coral colors or visit the Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat where you can see the Bottlenose Dolphins, White Tigers, White Lions, and Leopards, to get admission into the garden prices start at $25 adults. The hotel is also home to a casino, so you can try your luck there as well, among many bars, shops, and restaurants!

Stroll along Fremont Street

Fremont Street is the older, more historic part of Las Vegas. The street has been turned into a pedestrian mall, and it’s lined with casinos, hotels, restaurants, bars, and shops.

The mall is covered by a canopy that displays amazing light shows every night. The shows are free to watch, and they are definitely a sight to see!

Fremont Street is also home to the world’s largest video screen, which spans the length of four football fields. The screen displays shows and music videos throughout the day and night. You can’t go to Las Vegas without checking out Fremont Street!

Check out the lights at Neon Museum

The Neon Museum is a must-see for anyone who is interested in the history of Las Vegas. The museum features over 150 signs, and it’s a great place to take photos.

The museum offers both daytime and nighttime tours, and the nighttime tour is definitely the way to go if you want to get the full experience. 

The Strat-Stratosphere Tower

If you want to get a birds-eye view of Las Vegas, Stratosphere Tower is the place to go. The tower is located on the north end of the Strip, and it’s the tallest free-standing observation tower in the United States, soaring 1,150 feet (350 meters) above.

The tower has an indoor and outdoor observation deck, as well as a few rides for those who are looking for a thrill. The rides include the Big Shot, Insanity, and X-Scream.

If the thrill-seeking doesn’t sound appealing to you, enjoy a meal at the revolving restaurants located in the tower.

Mandalay Bay Beach is a great place to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of the Strip. The beach features a lazy river, a wave pool, and sandy beaches.

If you are looking for something more adventurous, you can also go tubing down the lazy river or ride one of the three slides.

The beach is open from 9 am to 6 pm, and there is a charge for admission approx around $18 adults.

Enjoy a Helicopter Ride over Las Vegas and see the lights

If you’re not on a tight budget or want to splurge, one of the best ways to see Las Vegas is from above, spoil yourself with a helicopter ride.

There are many different companies that offer helicopter tours, A helicopter tour is a great way to see the Strip in all its glory.

Visit the Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States, and it’s just a short drive from Las Vegas.

Visit the North or South rim, admire the breathtaking rock formations, and take a hike or bike ride along one of the many trails.

You can also take a helicopter or river rafting tour for an even more unique experience. Seeing the canyon and Hoover Dam from above is an unforgettable experience.

A Helicopter or small passenger plane tour departs from Las Vegas and takes you over the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead before arriving at the Grand Canyon.

There are many different companies that offer tours, and they vary in price.

I visited the South Rim during my time in Vegas and flew by a small passenger plane, I highly recommend it the views are amazing.

Shop at many of the Shopping outlets

During my visit, I went to the Las Vegas South Premium Outlets. The outlet mall is located south of the Strip, and it has over 150 stores. You can find great deals on designer clothes, shoes, and accessories. If you are looking for a place to relax and escape the heat, the mall also has a food court and a movie theater.

Las Vegas is a shopper’s paradise, and the South Premium Outlets are a great place to start your shopping spree! You will also find the North Premium Outlets shopping mall, the Fashion Show Mall, and Wynn Esplanade which have many outlet stores to explore if shopping is your thing.

Explore the hotels

Without listing all the hotels on the strip because there are so many, make sure to spend time walking along and checking out each hotel on the Las Vegas strip they all have their own unique theme, architecture, and fun. Some of the most popular hotels include The Venetian, Bellagio, and Wynn Las Vegas, just to name a few.

How to start using the Timekettle M3 translator earbuds

 

The Timekettle M3 translation earbuds are very easy to use. Once you’ve charged them up, simply download the Timekettle app power them on, and pair them with your smartphone via Bluetooth.

Then, open up the Timekettle app and select the language you want to translate to. Once that’s done, just put on the earbuds and start speaking. You can also use the touch control panel to play, pause, or skip tracks, and answer phone calls. The earbuds will automatically translate your words into the selected language.

Using the different Translating modes

Once connected, you can choose from one of three translation modes – Touch Mode, Listen Mode, or Speaker Mode.

Touch mode

This is where you will have one earbud and share the other earbud with the person you are speaking with offering a simultaneous interpretation.  This is the default mode and is great for one-on-one conversations.

Simply touch the earbud to activate it and start speaking. The M3 will translate your words into the chosen language and play them back through the earbuds, each time the person wants to speak, be sure to touch the earbud they are using before starting to speak.

Listen mode

This mode is perfect for situations where you need to listen to a conversation, such as in a meeting or lecture. Simply activate the mode and the M3 will start translating.

You can then play the recording at any time and choose to have it translated into your language of choice. Place your phone near the speaker and listen for the translation in your earbud.

Speaker mode

This mode is great for group situations where everyone needs to be able to hear the translation. Simply activate the mode and the M3 will start translating. The translated words will be played through the earbuds as well as your smartphone’s speaker, so everyone can hear.

With speaker mode, you only need to wear one earbud, however, I noted you will need to remove the other earbud from the charging case to have it work.

The Timekettle M3 translation earbuds have impressive battery life. I was able to use them for about 7 hours on a single charge. The charging case also provides roughly up to 24 hours of additional charge, so you can rest assured you will get plenty of use before needing to plug it in. The earbuds themselves take about 1.5 hours to charge.

Using the touch control

 

The touch control on the Timekettle M3 translator earbuds is really easy to use. Simply tap the earbud to answer or end a call, and tap to play or pause your music.

You can also double-tap the right earbud to skip to the next track and double-tap to go back to the previous track. The touch control is also used to activate the translator function. To do this, simply tap and hold the earbud until you hear a beep, then release it to start translating.

You can also check your translation history and use the Timekettle with text translation, just select the languages you require and start typing everything you need.

The fish card

A fish card is used to redeem and download offline languages. You can use the fish card to download up to 13 offline languages.

The functions of the offline and online versions are exactly the same. The difference between them is that there’s a 30 coins fish card in the offline box, which you can redeem and download 6 offline languages.

Did I enjoy using the M3 Timekettle Translation earbuds?

 

I was impressed with the translating performance of the Timekettle M3 translator earbuds. I used the earbuds during my 3-month trip to Portugal to visit my husband’s family and the earbuds were able to accurately translate my words almost immediately.

The earbuds also did a good job of filtering out background noise so that the person I was speaking to could understand me clearly.

The only downfall of the translation is that you and the other person need to speak slower than the normal conversation in order to get better accuracy and you can only have one Bluetooth device connected at a time, I am unsure if this is an Andriod issue (as I have a Samsung phone) or with the Timekettle earbuds, as I often got disconnected from my earbuds, in saying that with one click of a button, they instantly re-connected without any issues or delay.

I had the translation set to Portuguese-English, and although the translation was good while speaking slowly during a one-on-one conversation if people talked at their normal pace one-on-one or in listening mode, the earbuds had trouble translating correctly.

Can they be improved? yes, but only slightly.

However, there are a few things to keep in mind if you are thinking about purchasing the M3 translation earbuds – the earbuds can only translate the spoken language chosen, they require a connection to a phone via a Bluetooth-enabled device, and they are only compatible with the 40 most popular languages unless you buy the offline package to download some or all of the 8 offline languages, otherwise you will need to have good access to mobile internet data or WIFI, keeping in mind the offline language selections is minimal.
